Newtown Medical Practice was successful in becoming a training practice with the UCD Dublin Mid-Leinster GP training scheme in 2019. This is a great endorsement of the high quality medical care we provide to our community.
Each year a qualified doctor who is complicating the GP part of their training will join the practice for 12months. Each of these doctors will have had a minimum of 3 years experience working in hospital settings, usually in the areas of general medicine, psychiatry, paediatrics and gynaecology/obstetrics, before they join us.
We are very proud and honoured to be passing on our knowledge and enthusiasm for the speciality of General Practice to the next generation of GPs.
